Letter to my Future Self

 Dear Self,

Look at you.You thought you'd still be broken by the decisions of others! Even now, you're smiling to yourself like a crazy person reading this. How things have changed in a short space of time. Funny as cliche as it is;that was all you needed.God has surrounded you with a select group of people who cherish, protect, appreciate and have chosen to never abandon the vision or goals you had for yourself.Things are really good with you.
Not only have you gained a wealth of working experience in a field you embrace, purchased a vehicle that YOU drive, you are about to embark upon the housing/property journey. You are perfectly reliant on God alone. What faith you have. Remember how long it took you to get here? You've travelled to a couple places you've wanted to for a while, and interacted with many learning that there is always a unique lifestory that should not be taken at face value.
Kesara, you've  learnt to love yourself, even the corners of a dusty soul. The parts you're not always proud of.You've reset your standards and remained focused on the One who deserves it.You've embraced  those alone times and now it IS your time!
You fell flat on your face in 2015- early 2016. However, you became the strongest you,I've ever seen. Isn't that funny? I never understood and always seemed perplexed about  the concept of strength. I thought "strong" was reserved for the women enduring childbirth or still borns.
Go where you are welcomed and if you are not welcomed; dust yourself off and high-five yourself for trying.Remember, that not everyone is worth sticking around for and do NOT continue giving if it begins to hurt you. Don't cast pearls before swine.
You've fallen flat on this face of yours and that's okay, know that it gets better. Surely all things work together for good to them that love God and are called according to His purpose.Surely,You God love to give me good gifts.
Kesara, you are highly prized.Never stay down expecting others to pick you up. YOU are living unto a greater purpose. You.Are.So.Worth.It.

xoxo

In grace,
Kesara

Here's how to put some planning into action:
(Some tips to help you with your personal goal setting)

In all honesty, while I am used to teaching this material to kids,I have used these to help with my own planning in my life). In no way am I  even saying I have it all figured out or that I'm this "successful person" or that I even have a secret recipe obtained from both my quota of life experiences and knowledge of setting goals. I do know I am simply trying. You should too. While planning and setting goals are crucial in my opinion; if they do not line up with God's will or ideas for your life, you should seriously reconsider. There seems to be no fire escapes or exits when you're "spinning top in mud" and for a long time at that.

  2. Falling flat isn't easy to get up from. Your scaffolding seems really secure in God and your friends. I pray that your ventures do turn out even more successful.

  3. Also, goal setting is a difficult thing to do! Them children teaching aids would be helpful to older people too. You know what's harder though? Being able to plan to accomplish those goals.

  4. Interesting StephenKB. I think the level of difficulty depends on the person and a lot to do with determination. Thanks for viewing and the feedback!
