Friends love through all kinds of weather...

Friends love through all kinds of weather, reads the Message Bible's interpretation of Proverbs 17:17. It goes on to say that families stick together through all types of trouble.

This verse pierced through me like no other thing would and has...but God. Thats precisely what He does...when He speaks, and what His Word does. It is sharper than any two-edged sword.
Ive had an interesting few months being away from school, although part of my technical summer was in fact spent at school. It's a seemingly dismal thing when youre spending a 4 month holiday partially at school. For the most part,im pretty pleased however with how my grading went for that summer. The less work, the better youre able to do for courses. God help me in the upcoming semester then.

While ive twisted and turned, severed wings through this wind of change recently, the sight becomes increasingly clear who are my friends and were my friends. Ever felt like you needed great help with something, and no one was around? Was anyone there for you at all? Answer honestly. I realised in a lot of the moments where we feel lonely, rejected and betrayed;we often act rash enough to cast the" first stone" but being truthful people, people who follow Him,do we tell ourselves lies?

Lies in friendships are the worst kind of lies to me. Just my two cents, but at the end of the day, it is still our opportunity which presents itself in a lovely tied choice to accept or deny the lies that come to our minds.

In grace,
Kesara

  1. I understand what you're talking about. And yes, agree that mistrust in friendship is the worst kind, especially for the person who holds their friends higher than themselves too!

A friend loveth at all times... that memory verse I used to say when I was 3 or 4 or so... my mom taught it to me.

  2. Youre right in saying for "the person who holds it higher than themselves". I think that may be where the problem stems. Thanks for responding, certainly makes me smile a little.
